Product Details
+This early 1940s plaid taffeta evening dress is girlish and feminine without being frilly. Sweetheart neckline, short sleeves that are puffed at the shoulder, narrowing to an inverted pleat. Wide fitted basque type waist that comes to a point between the breasts. Two tiered skirt. Bias folded bands of plaid cross the bodice above the bustline and separate the plaid upper portion of the skirt from the black lower portion. Self fabric bows at the center of the neckline and on the bias band of the skirt. Stiff cheesecloth at the sleeve puffs and under the upper 15" of the skirt gives a little extra loft.
